Knot Just Knitters
Knot Just Knitters (KJK) are planning a Workshop Extravaganza Evening on January 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. at OSLC. A snow date is scheduled for February 11th just in case it is needed.
Purpose: Make easy items such as blankets, hats, or scarves for people in need. We have a request from the Women’s Recovery Center for several fleece tie blankets. We hope to get them all done that night. This is a great project for the whole family, so come and help keep people in the community warm!
Who should attend: This event is open to all ages and we encourage young people to join their parents in this “crafty” adventure to see how much the group can accomplish. There will be something to do for all levels of expertise! All ages with able, willing hands are welcome, so bring a friend! Stay for as little or as long as you can.
Supplies needed: Bring sharp scissors, if you plan to help with the blankets. Otherwise, if you prefer to sew and can bring a sewing machine that would be great. We will have a few on hand. KJK will provide patterns, fabric and thread. We also have lots of yarn, so you are welcome to come and knit or crochet. If you are not able to attend and would like to make a donation for the purchase of supplies, you may do so by giving it to Ellen in the office. Please indicate KJK in the memo on your check.
Food, too!: The group will enjoy fellowship as well as creating items. Participants should bring a hearty appetizer to share. KJK will provide some warm beverages.
Please watch for registration information about this event in the Sunday bulletins a couple of weeks prior to January 28th. Registration will be required in order to facilitate the needed planning to make the event a success.
