Fall Midweek Opportunities
Please use the included form to register your student(s) for Midweek.
We are going to meet. We are going to meet in person. We are going to wear facemasks. And here is how we plan to do that as safely as possible starting Wednesday, September 15.
Rather than invite all of our students into the building at that same time, we will spread out the age groups as follows:
Middle School (grades 6-8) 4:15-5:15 p.m. in the sanctuary
(walk over right after school for snacks in the Fellowship Hall)
Pre-School and Elementary 5:45-6:45 p.m.
All will gather in the sanctuary for opening worship. The youngest students will be dismissed early to go to their classroom with Mrs. Toni. Starting around 6:15 p.m., the elementary students will spread out in the Fellowship Hall for a craft activity that connects with the day’s Bible story.
High School 7-8:30 p.m. downstairs
The curriculum for students in preschool through middle school will be “Manna and Mercy”. We will move from beginning to end, as we learn to recognize how the many stories of the Bible fit together into one, big overarching story of God who provides for us and loves us. Each week’s Bible story will be presented in worship which will be livestreamed at 5:45 p.m. for any who want to join us. Parents are welcome to worship with us as well as join their student in the craft or activity that follows worship.
Eventually, we hope that we can implement Plan A where:
* A free meal is available starting at 5 p.m. and
* A larger segment of the congregation can join us in-person for worship and the craft/activity.
Options for At-Home Midweek Learning:
Worship via livestream at 5:45 p.m.
Families can request a craft kit for each week.
Middle schoolers will receive a “Manna and Mercy” book to use at home in combination with discussion questions emailed weekly by Pastor Karen.
