PRELUDE – OSLC Praise Team

“Above All” – By: Lenny LeBlanc & Paul Baloche

L: Blessed be the holy Trinity,☩ one God, the God of manna, the God of miracles, the God of mercy.

C:    Amen.

L: Drawn to Christ and seeking God’s abundance, let us confess our sin.

Silence is kept for reflection.

L: God, our provider,

C: help us. It is hard to believe there is enough to share. We question your ways when they differ from the ways of the world in which we live. We turn to our own understanding rather than trusting in you. We take offense at your teachings and your ways. Turn us again to you. Where else can we turn? Share with us the words of eternal life and feed us for life in the world. Amen.

L: Beloved people of God: in Jesus, the manna from heaven, you are fed and nourished. By Jesus, the worker of miracles, there is always more than enough. Through Jesus, ☩ the bread of life, you are shown God’s mercy: you are forgiven and loved into abundant life.

C: Amen.

“We Are Called” – By Larry Olson

We are called (we are called)  We are claimed (we are claimed)

We are loved (we are loved)  by the Holy Name

We are healed (we are healed) We are whole (we are whole)

The Savior ransomed our souls and we’re singing:

Chorus: Glory, Glory, Glory Hallelujah! Glory, Gloria

Oh, Glory, Glory, Glory Hallelujah! Glory, Gloria!

We are here (we are here) To proclaim (to proclaim)

God is here (God is here)  calls us each by name.

We are here (we are here)  To give praise (to give praise)

The love of God will not change and we’re singing.     Chorus 2x

L: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

C: And also with you.

L:  Almighty Creator and ever-living God:

C: we worship your glory, eternal Three-in-One, and we praise your power, majestic One-in-Three. Keep us steadfast in this faith, defend us in all adversity, and bring us at last into your presence, where you live in endless joy and love, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. And on this Memorial Day weekend, we thank you for the devotion of all people who have committed themselves to military service for their country. We pray for those who did not return home, for those who did return home, and for those who are now away from home. On behalf of their fellow citizens, they stepped into harm’s way, gave up time with those they love, and carried the weight of respect and duty. For their lives, we give you thanks, Almighty God. Amen

READING – Isaiah 6:1-8

1In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lofty; and the hem of his robe filled the temple. 2Seraphs were in attendance above him; each had six wings: with two they covered their faces, and with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. 3And one called to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory.”

4The pivots on the thresholds shook at the voices of those who called, and the house filled with smoke. 5And I said: “Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips; yet my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”

6Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding a live coal that had been taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. 7The seraph touched my mouth with it and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your guilt has departed and your sin is blotted out.” 8Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!”

SERMON – PR. Karen Behling

“Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty”

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.

Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty! God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee,

casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;

cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee, which wert and art, and evermore shalt be.

Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,

though the eye of sinfulness thy glory may not see,

only thou art holy; there is none beside thee, perfect in pow’r, in love and purity.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!

All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky and sea.

Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty! God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

L: Your people cry out to you:

C: How long, O God?

“Go, My Children, With My Blessing”

“Go, my children, with my blessing, never alone.

Waking, sleeping, I am with you, you are my own.

In my love’s baptismal river I have made you mine forever.

Go, my children, with my blessing, you are my own.”

“Go, my children, sins forgiven, at peace and pure.

Here you learned how much I love you, what I can cure.

Here you heard my dear Son’s story, here you touched him, saw his glory.

Go, my children, sins forgiven, at peace and pure.”

“Go, my children, fed and nourished, closer to me.

Grow in love and love by serving, joyful and free.

Here my Spirit’s power filled you, here my tender comfort stilled you.

Go, my children, fed and nourished, joyful and free.”

L: Go in peace. You are the body of Christ.

C: Thanks be to God.

“Holy, Holy”
